Yes. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is widely recognized as one of the most beginner-friendly martial arts available. Our Adult Fundamentals program is built from the ground up for new students — we start with the core movements, positions, and concepts that form the foundation of the art before progressing to live sparring. Experienced coaches supervise all training sessions, drilling is controlled, and our culture is one of mutual respect and safety. You do not need to be athletic, strong, or experienced to walk through our doors for the first time.
For most beginners, training 2–3 times per week is an excellent starting point. This frequency gives your body enough time to recover between sessions while allowing new techniques to start becoming familiar through repetition. Many of our Powder Springs and northwest Cobb County students start at two sessions per week and naturally increase their attendance as they get comfortable with the schedule and start seeing progress. Our class timetable offers enough options throughout the week to build a routine that fits around work and family commitments.
Yes. Warrior BJJ runs a dedicated Women’s Jiu-Jitsu program designed with the specific needs, goals, and comfort level of female students in mind. The class covers BJJ fundamentals, self-defense applications, and practical techniques in a supportive environment. Women are also welcome in our co-ed Adult Fundamentals classes. Many of our female students from the southwest Cobb County area came in with no prior martial arts experience and now train confidently alongside students of all levels.
For your free trial class, all you need is comfortable athletic clothing — shorts and a t-shirt work perfectly — and a water bottle. No special equipment, uniform, or gear is required for your first visit. We will provide everything else and walk you through what to expect before you step onto the mat. If you decide to continue training, we can guide you on what to purchase in terms of a gi (uniform) or no-gi attire. Just show up ready to learn and we will take care of the rest.
